The National Weather Service issued flood warnings for multiple Western North Carolina counties on Wednesday.
The NWS issued a flood warning Transylvania County until 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.
The NWS said gauges showed that between two and five inches of rain fell in the area within a ten-hour span and more rain was expected through the day.
Emergency Management officials issued the following road warnings just after 9 a.m. -Wilson Rd CLOSED between Greenville Hwy and Elm Bend Rd Cascade Lake Rd / Merrill Ln has water across it Everett Rd / Patton Mountain Rd part of the bank has washed into the roadway Old Hendersonville Hwy at Cherry St and at River Cane Ln has water across it East Fork Rd just before Glady Fork Rd has water across it
Officials urged drivers to use caution while traveling and warned against driving on flooded roads.
The NWS said the following locations will likely see flooding on Wednesday:
Brevard, Rosman, Lake Toxaway, Looking Glass, Dupont State Forest, Gorges State Park, Balsam Grove, Penrose, Connestee and Little River.
The NWS also issued a flood warning until Henderson County until 3:30 p.m.
Officials said the flooding would impact the Mud Creek basin. Locations would likely include the intersection of S. Church St. and S. Main St. near Gateway Park.
Other areas that could see flooding are Hendersonville, Fletcher, Flat Rock, Etowah, Mountain Home, Laurel Park, Valley Hill, Horse Shoe, Tuxedo and Edneyville.

Shepherd St. below Blue Ridge Community College
