Union County Sheriff David Taylor announced that a tri-county task force operation in Union County resulted in 12 arrests.

Taylor said Tuesday that the 12 suspects face a total of 23 charges.

Taylor said the task force set up multiple traffic safety checkpoints in Carlisle, Lockhart, Buffalo and Union during the operation.

The sheriff said charges were filed for driving under suspension, habitual offender, operating uninsured, possession of scheduled II substance, failing to stop for blue light, giving false information to police, violation of youthful offender act, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, magistrate court bench warrant, weapons law violation, and public drunk.

“A total of eight cases of driving with a suspended license were made in Union County in one night,” Taylor said a news release.
