Tournament officials made several announcements on Wednesday regarding the future of the BMW Charity Pro-Am.
South Carolina Charities Inc., which operates the charity tournament, said a 5-year contract extension has been reached with the PGA Tour.
The tournament will also be moved to June starting in 2019. Tournament dates for next year are June 3 through 9.
The extension also means expanded coverage by the Golf Channel, according to tournament officials. Live tournament coverage will now be extended to all three courses.
Each year the BMW Charity Pro-Am draws 40,000 spectators. Due to the support, officials said this year the tournament will surpass the $13 million mark in donations given to Upstate charities.
