The Laurens Police Department said Wednesday that an inmate who escaped from police custody last week is back behind bars.
Officers said Tevin O'Neil Brown was placed in custody on a domestic violence 1st degree warrant.
After he was booked into the agency on August 31, police said Brown was taken to the water fountain and on the way back to the holding area, he pushed away from the officer and ran out of the building.
Officers said they attempted to locate Brown, but were unsuccessful.
According to police, he is now wanted for escape in addition to the original domestic violence charge he was initially arrested for.
Brown was last seen wearing black jeans and no shirt.
On Wednesday police said Greenville County deputies arrested Brown after he was found at the Lakeside Place Apartment complex off of Pleasantburg Drive.
